About Dr. Daniel Borsuk

Dr. Daniel Borsuk is a native Montréaler who earned both his medical and MBA degrees from McGill University. Following medical school, he pursued his specialty training in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the Université de Montréal. He subsequently continued his sub-specialty fellowship in advanced Craniofacial, Microsurgical, and Aesthetic Surgery at the Johns Hopkins University and the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland. There Dr. Borsuk, along with a distinguished team of surgeons, completed the most extensive facial transplantation to have been performed, making him the first Canadian to have participated in such an endeavor.

Through the years Dr. Borsuk has changed the paradigm of care in Montreal for adults and children with facial deformities and has established Montreal as an international center of excellence through his work. In 2015 Dr. Borsuk performed the world's first scarless facial reconstruction; in 2018 Dr. Borsuk and his team performed the first Canadian Face transplant, and later in 2018 performed a revolutionary craniofacial surgery on a 2 year old girl.

Whether at his cosmetic practice in Westmount, or at the Sainte Justine Hospital for Children, Dr. Borsuk aims to provide cutting edge care, to Quebecers and Canadians alike, through the combination of cutting edge technologies, art, and science, with a compassionate approach.

Dr. Borsuk was made an Officer of the National Order of Quebec in 2019 by Premier Francois Legault for "his strong and active presence in Montreal that has encouraged the deployment of advanced technologies in plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery."
